The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 January 2023 is off and running as I write this. I have heard so many people voice gratitude that 2022 is over and behind us. For me, it wasn’t that bad of a year. What I am grateful for however, is that God’s mercies never come to an end. I can’t close up the 2022 calendar and say, “well, that’s it, the end of God’s mercy”. I need to be reminded that God’s mercy … Continue reading Receive His Mercy
Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. I John 3:1 I will never forget his smile. At least, I hope I never forget his smile. Or the words he spoke or the way he spoke them. Simple words, all he said was “especially then.” He was ringing up my purchase at the hydroponic store and we got to talking about our kids. He has three. I have four. The kids had been playing soccer, the fence was the goal and someone just scored a point and everyone should have been excited, but they weren’t. They thought they were in trouble because of the ball being across the street now and began looking … Continue reading Oops! My Bad!
It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He … Continue reading Who’s Job Is It?
