Angels Rejoicing

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven

over one sinner who repents

than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 15:7

Some years ago, I went to the Healing Rooms to have people pray for me. I had had chronic pain for the majority of the past two decades. Two wonderful women prayed for me and one told me that while she was praying for me, she saw the angels in heaven rejoicing over my healing. She was all excited about that and I tried to be but I just didn’t get it. I left with the pain I came with but I was encouraged and felt stronger in faith than when I came in. A few days later though, I got it.

The angels were there when the world was created, they were there when Jesus left heaven to come to earth and they were there when he was bruised and crushed for our iniquities, they were there when He took the stripes that bought our healing, they were there when He was crucified. They were there when he descended into hell and cheered as He ascended into heaven.  They watched as God’s plan for redemption unfolded. The Bible tells us that every time someone comes to faith in Christ, the angels rejoice in heaven.

Physical healing for the body is the same as spiritual healing is to our spirit.  Both were purchased by Jesus on our behalf. It makes sense that the angels who cheered for Jesus would cheer for us when we receive in full what His death, burial and resurrection gives us because they know all too well how high a price that salvation cost.

Today, I am healed of the chronic pain that tried to define my life for so many years. Praise God!

In my wildest dreams, I can’t even begin to imagine the sound the angels in heaven make when they are rejoicing. And to think that they are rejoicing over me! How You must love me! Thank You that my healing means so much to You that You took the stripes that had my name on them. Only You could do that for me.  And then to have angels celebrate when I receive from You what You paid so dearly for. I am humbled that You would take such notice of me. Thank You for the wonderful people You have put in my life that pray for me and encourage me and believe with me for the miracle I am in need of. Help me to be that kind of person in other people’s lives I ask in Your wonderful name, amen.

I would love to hear from you. Please let me know if I can be praying for you as well.

Just to say I am bogged down by physical pain that won’t go away and I am particularly low today … I don’t often get low but I simply ask if you could please pray for me today? I can’t see up from down.

    2. I am praying that your disregulated nervous system must bow it’s knee to the name of Jesus and declaring that your body lines up with the word of God. Don’t lose hope, ’tis the season of miracles, right?
